Decagon Fortnightly Payroll is identical to the others except for the frequency of
the payroll cycle i.e. fortnightly. They all share the same features and are in fact
complicated Microsoft Access Databases that have been arranged in such a way
that end users interface with menu driven screens instead of the underlying
Access commands. We have deliberately not combined all three payrolls into one
complex package as our experience has shown us that the majority of businesses
rarely pay employees using all of the various cycles. By trimming the bulk, we
have been able to keep the cost of each package to a reasonable figure.
TRAINING
The program is very user friendly and requires very little training to get going.
However, if a customer requires additional training we can provide it at minimal
costs. If we install the program, we would normally do some training as a part of
the process of introducing the product. A charge would only be relevant if
additional training is requested.
WARRANTY
Although the program has been rigorously tested for quality and correctness, we
provide a reasonable warranty for up to a period of three years. This is provided
of course, that end users do not try to re-engineer the product. We allow end
users to make changes to the program but this is done at your own ‘risk’. We are
not responsible for any loss or damage that results from unauthorised changes
made by end users.
CUSTOMER CARE
A significant amount of customer care is available ‘free of costs’. This is delivered
using various media (Internet and or email, telephone and client visits). Customer
visits may attract a cost and we suggest that these be discussed before any visits
are arranged. We also provide an extensive user guide that basically covers all
major functions offered by the program. This is an excellent starting point for
anyone who has purchased the program. We have also included demonstration
videos of the main functions of the program on our Website. These videos can be
viewed 24/7’s but due to the size of the files, viewing is suitable only if you have
broadband Internet. Finally, copies of these instruction videos are also included
on the software CD provided with each purchase of the product. The user manual
is also included.
PAYROLL BUREAUX

- Preparation of key payroll reports for all cycles namely weekly, fortnightly

- Preparation of the Payroll Journal to facilitate adjustment to your General
Ledger system.
- Reconciliation of payroll bank accounts where these are kept and the
production of the relevant reports on a timely basis.
- Payment of salaries through the banking system on request.
- Making available details to your external auditor so that figures included in
your annual returns can be verified. This information will only be released to
selected auditors after being authorised by the senior executive in charge of
the payroll for your organisation.
- Assist in streamlining cut-off and data needed for the successful processing
of the payroll.

the payment of salaries, statutory deductions and our fees.
